このハードル型の参加型作品（イベント、パフォーマンスシリーズ）は、私がオーストラリアでハードル選手をした時の記憶と日本での経験に基づいています。
今回の作品では、この横浜港で船が出た時に投げた彩り鮮やかなストリーマーを思い出し、吊り下げることにしました。ここでは海の広さとその向こうにある大陸も感じられます。ゲートみたいな高いハードルと、低いハードルを設置し、訪れる方々が世界と自分に対しての関係性を振り返ってみれるでしょう。展示期間中ではオンラインのパフォーマンスもする予定です。
This work “Hurdles, Streamers, Rainbows” is a continuation of an artwork series that is based on my experience training as a hurdler in Australia and later influences in Japan. This time, I will also make the addition of colored streamers, reminiscent of those thrown as ships embarked from this location in Yokohama port. Here you can feel the vast sea and continents beyond. With one high hurdle that stands like a gate and one low hurdle which can easily be stepped over, visitors can contemplate their relational position in regards to the world and themselves. During the exhibition I will also hold a performance, which will be accessible online.
